Covered Dish Dinner: Please join the church family after Worship service today in Freeman Hall for our covered-dish dinner. Again, this is an excellent time to get to know and be known by your church family.  We need times together like this as a church! The food is good, too!

Operation Christmas Child: Items to be collected the month of October are:  flip flops, pencils, bags, jump ropes, Frisbees, and scarves.  Please place them in the box in the foyer. Also, the postage for these packages has been raised to $9 each. We will take a special offering this month (October 28) to help cover the postage; make checks to “AHG”.

Nominating Committee: Members are Pastor Glass (chair), Randy Barnwell, Ron Parker, Joanne Freeman and Don Kirkwood.

Fall Festival: Don’t forget to mark your calendars for the Fall Festival/Chili Cook-Off on October 27 and invite your unchurched friends and family.

Election: All of us who are U. S. citizens eighteen (18) years of age and old are responsible to get out and vote. All elections are important and “critical”; so take time to study the issues and candidates’ positions and vote for the candidates of your choice. Note that “Voter ID” is on the ballot this election cycle.
